Can't believe March was here and now gone; and here it is April already, boy where does the time go?

First let me tell you about my new style bracelet links.  They are very similar to the old style but made with an open rivet and the copper goes all the way across the link.  This allows me to put longer words on the links and I love the way it looks.  Don't worry the other style can still be ordered!

I have added several new products to my web site hope you like 'em as much as I do, see pictures below!!  I have added a couple of child size bracelets, which of course can be made to fit an adult.  I have also added a men's bracelet with a bit heavier chain.

I did not get a chance to get any silver lined beads made as I had planed, I have been very busy with silver orders.  My plan is to make a run of beads on Monday.  So if you have been waiting for these beads be looking for them on my web site some time late next week.  I will have a few of the larger beads available (that are pictured on my home page) and several lots of the smaller beads.  The larger beads will have silver bead caps riveted on and can be made into a pendant; the smaller beads will be silver cored and ready to be added to your bracelets.

March Giveaway Three Winners

WOW, what a tornado of a February, starting with Tucson, and then my class in Washington, what an amazing time!

The 3 day class with Andrea Guarino Slemmons was so amazing I can't even describe it with words, I learned so much!  Andrea's studio is to die for, I want to live there!!  Plus, the view out to the ocean was just stunning.  Andrea and her husband are such nice people, they treated us like family and spoiled us, we all wanted them to adopt us.  Each day when we arrived at the home studio we were treated with yummy pastries before starting our class time.  In the studio just incase we got hungry before lunch we had more munchies, some home made chex mix and DOVE chocolate.  To top it all off for lunch Andrea's husband slaved in the kitchen cutting up avocado and such for our tasty sandwiches.  Besides all the wonderful hospitality and learning experience, the other ladies in the class were just too funny!  The whole experience was just so wonderful, I have never been to such a class and treated so special, what a very special couple!!

Below is a picture of some of the beads I made in class.  Just as soon as I get my powders I will be making beads of the same style and offering them for sale on my web site.  I will have beads with 3 different sizes of holes; 1/8' which are the larger beads with the silver bead caps riveted on, 3/16 and 1/4, all cored with sterling silver tube.  The smaller silver lined beads will fit on your Pandora style bracelets.  I will also be offering a Rolo chain for purchase that will work very nicely with these beads, it has a nice weight to it.

Below is a picture of the Bangle bracelet I have been talking about, it is made of 14k gold filled wire and sterling silver.  It is a very pretty and feminine design; for those of you who may like a little smaller bracelet design: I am sure you will LOVE it!

The Silver and Copper Jewelry was a GREAT success at the Tucson Gem and Jewelry Show!!  The bracelet links were very popular, I sold out of the rectangle size and came close on the new oval shape.  I was kept very busy pounding names on the blanks (I took blanks so people could choose their own words) and I am sure I drove my neighbors crazy!

Tucson was fun, educational, successful and we made some great contacts, can't wait to go back with some new designs!

I have posted 4 pages of new "Specials" on my web site.  Some of you are to fast and a few of the items are gone, but there are still plenty to choose from and if something you wanted is gone just shot me an email and I will see what I can do to take care of you.

We got back home yesterday and I am flying to Washing state tomorrow for a class with Andrea Guarino Slemmons.  I am so excited I can hardly wait.  The class is a Masters Beading and Silver class.  Once I return home (with just a short break, for ordering and receiving new tools) be looking for some new beads to show up on my web site with the new techniques I will have learned.  Just to give you a heads up on what I will be adding;

• large hole beads - that you can use as a Pandora bracelet

• some very earthy designs with wonderful blended and gradient colors on glass beads.

• silver core lined beads and some with silver end caps

• off mandrel hearts with texturing - some may know what this is and some will find out!

The Silver and Copper Bracelet Links were a GREAT success for Christmas gifts this year.  For all of you Jewelry Designers out there, such a wonderful personal touch for an extra special gift.  I am also thinking they would make for a wonderful Mother's Day gift, with all of the children's names or just a word of encouragement or sentiment.

I am also making the links in an oval design and a bit smaller, will get pictures up just as soon as I can. With the Tucson madness it may be later in the month.  If only I had not forgotten to get pictures of the ones that were ordered and already sent out, Oh well!

This month is the time of year that I am beading like a mad woman getting ready for Tucson!!  To top it all off my kiln went out on me ):.  After days of searching the internet and many phone calls I was able to choose a new kiln and get it here with only about a week and a half of lost beading, no sleep for me.

This will be a short Newsletter as I am very busy trying to get orders done early for customers for the Holidays.

I have added some new pieces of Jewlery that you can still get in time for Christmas  I really like how they have turned out, hope you do as well. I am having so much fun with the silversmithing!

Hopefully you have seen my new offerings of Sterling silver and copper Jewelry, if not go check it out!  I like doing the silversmithing in the summer as it gets so hot behind the torch.

Well, it is now the time of year for me to fire up the torch again as I am getting ready for my show season to start. Even though it is a short season compared to some people, it keeps me very busy in between the web site orders.  Plus I like having them spaced out far enough apart that I don't have to stress out and push myself on time.

Right now  I am at what I consider my first show of my season, the San Antonio Bead Renaissance Show writing this update; this way I won't be late again on my update and it may even be a couple days early.
